The History of the Russian Blue

The Russian Blue cat breed originated in the cold port city of Arkhangelsk, Russia, where it developed a dense coat to withstand Arctic climates. It gained popularity in Europe in the late 1800s, first showcased at the Crystal Palace Cat Show in London in 1875.

Throughout history, Russian Blues were favoured by czars and nobility and transported across Europe by sailors who appreciated their superior rodent-hunting skills. Today, they are a sought-after breed across the globe for their calm, refined personalities and hypoallergenic properties.

Grooming & Health Care

Singapore Cat Licensing (2024–2026)

Under the new HDB cat policy (effective 1 September 2024), all cats in HDB flats must be licensed by August 31, 2026. The annual fee is $14 per cat, and you can keep up to 2 cats per HDB flat. All Designer Cats kittens come pre-microchipped, making the licensing process seamless.
